Time for a little randomness.  I’ve decided that I’d like a DVD copy of every Disney Animated Feature film and Disney/Pixar Animated film.  This list is to keep track of which ones I’ve gotten/received.  Preferring the Bluray/DVD combo, but at least the DVD versions

The drums are beating with the sounds of dissent.  The White Mantle are making their way through Kryta, pillaging and ravaging the countryside.  Citizens of Kryta and Ascalon refugees are terrified.  Only the members of the Shining Blade prove to be of any resistance and the White Mantle are making damn sure their numbers do not grow.

The Shining Blade have been striking at the White Mantle wherever possible over the last few weeks.  It seems that whatever spirits possess them have grown weary of the constant pecking at the White Mantle.  Their strikes are more organized, more powerful than ever before.  The White Mantle have instituted a set of draconian rules to keep order.  What does the future hold for these two camps, only the gods and goddesses know.

The war has begun. Take your side and fight.

NEW! Reports of Evennia from the Shining Blade being sent to the Eye of the North to recruit the Ebon Vanguard started circling this morning.  With the Ebon Vanguard behind them, the Shining Blade will be a force to be reckoned with.

All I can say is this: WOW. It’s difficult to accurately shoot a bow.
Went to The Nock Point Archery Range on Saturday and took a Lesson with Kent from Next Step Archery.

I learned quite a bit about how to hold a bow, nock the arrow, and actually aim the bow.  I was amazed at how much precision goes into shooting.  If you don’t do it exactly the same every time, your shots can go nearly anywhere.

When there was focus and concentration on the shot I hit within a few inches of the target (at 5 yards, but hey, it’s something!).  If I went fast and did not focus, my shots tended to drift upward and downward.  The worst shot I had was that I completely missed the bale, nicked the wood on the top of it and sent the target card that HAD been sitting up there flying. The arrow did a couple backflips and landed about 2 yards behind the bale.

If you’re in the North Seattle area, Bob Hickey runs Next Step Archery, and his father, Bill, runs The Nock Point.  I highly recommend both companies and am now signed up to go have a lesson on the 18th (My birthday!)
