Thanks to the quick work of Dargus and Master Togo the disease had not spread into the Shing Jea monastary but news had reached them of events in Kaineng Center that disturbed them. There was one person that had survived to spread the contagion into the most heavily populated parts of the city.
Master Togo advised Dargus to take advantage of the short time he would continue to reside at the Monastery. Dargus was told to learn everything he could about healing spells from Sister Tai and Brother Pe Wan as well as take the advanced Ranger training provided by Zho. His skills as a Ranger were promising but still needed some honing. Zho taught Dargus how to take advantage of drawing enemies into traps while Tai and Pe Wan turned Dargus into a minor healer that can take care of himself and help the diseased in Kaineng City.
When Dargus was ready, he followed Brother Pe Wan to Seitung Harbor for a ship to the Kaineng marketplace. Following a three day boat ride to the city, Dargus was met at the docks by one of Togo’s messengers, Headmaster Greico. Greico advised Dargus to visit Kaineng Center and upgrade his weapons and armor, and to learn some new skills from the travelers there.
After making his way through the infected guards and crazed citizens of Kaineng, Dargus entered the safe zone called Kaineng Center. He relaxed for a few hours and spent some of the time practicing new spells. The rare yet essential Monk art of resurrection was mastered in two parts: first was to resurrect the person where they stood and second to teleport the body to him for raising. The teleportation exhausted Dargus of his energy and he was warned to only use it when he knew that both he and the person he was resurrecting would be safe.
While he was learning these skills, Dargus met up with three new companions from other continents. Brother Mhenlo, Cynn and M.O.X. were all very willing to help save Cantha from the disease spreading throughout the continent.
Before he left the Center, Dargus had purchased new armor and bows that are magically enhanced and provide a less conspicuous outfit for the areas that he will be visiting. Drawing less attention to himself is essential to keep himself and his companions alive.
